No Projeto ELETROGOES foi produzido um Documento de Concepção de Projeto (Project Design Document - PDD) no âmbito do Mecanismo de Desenvolvimento Limpo - MDL (Clean Development Mechanism – CDM) do Protocolo de Quioto, para envio e aprovação pelo Executive Board do United Nations Framework on Climate Change - UNFCCC para obtenção de Créditos de Carbono referentes às emissões evitadas de GEE referentes à implementação do projeto.
The ELETROGOES Project consisted in the development of a Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project, in a biomass thermoelectric plant implantation, called UTE RONDON II, in the State of Rondônia, adjacent to the hydroelectric UHE RONDON II reservoir, currently in implantation, with the objective of its regularization and energy complementation, in parallel regimen of operation, with 20 MW of power installed, consisting of two (02) generating units of 10 MW each one, to be fed with wooden chips. The project was implemented in two stages
The forest wood to be used by UTE RONDON II had two distinct origins: native forest wood proceeding from the flooded area by the UHE Rondon II reservoir; and energetic forest consisting by eucalyptus, to be sustainably implemented in the region.
A Project Design Document - PDD was peoduced in the ELETROGOES Project in the scope of the Clean Development Mechanism - CDM of the Kyoto’s Protocol, for sending and approval by the United Nations Framework on Climate Change - UNFCCC Executive Board for carbon credits receiving due to Green House Gases – GHG emissions reduction from the implantation of UTE RONDON II.
CENBIO’s objective in the scope of the ELETROGOES
project is the subsidies supply for the determination of the biomass potential
and use in UTE RONDON II, that will collaborate to the identification of
the best option for the development of a Clean Development Mechanism –
CDM project for a small thermoelectric of 20 MW moved by biomass –
UTE RONDON II.
